Abdixhiku meets with European Parliament president, urges Kosovo to liberalise visas

LDK Chairman Lumir Abdixhiku, accompanied by Albanian Deputy Chairman Blackic and Secretary General Imri Ahmeti, has hosted the European Parliament Vice President Rainer Wieland today.

Mayor Obadiah spoke with Mr. Wieland for LDK's positions has confronted the political situation in the country, its vision as well as the LDK's preparations for local elections.

So has the LDK) suggested through a communique for media, until Chairman Abdixhiku said he asked him to postpone the visa liberalisation process.

“During the meeting, President Abdixhiku expressed his gratitude for the support role the European Parliament has played and asked him to exert his influence on other EU institutions for advancing Kosovo in integration processes, visa liberalisation, as well as the overall development of Kosovo”, the report said.

Vice President Wieland offered the support of the European Parliament and its integration processes, stressing Kosovo's European future. /Gazza Express/
