Ilir Meta's report for the dismissal of Albania's president is approved.
The Speaker of the Parliament, Gramoz Ruci, suggests they have voted in favour of 104 deputies, 7 against, 2 abstention and 1 ballot sheet was invalid.
Despite the decision of the Parliament, it will be the Constitutional Court, which means the final word whether Ilir Meta has seriously violated the Constitution or not and whether his statements have had consequences.
The Constitution within a three-month term must make the decision to pass the Parliament vote at the review session.
This is the second initiative for Ilir Meta within two years, where the parliamentary majority demands his dismissal.
As long as the establishment of this Investigative Commission is not recognised by Meta himself, calling it unconstitutional and anti-legal. Meta, although summoned, has refused to go to any meeting of the Commission.
