After the last few months, I'm happy to be alive. I gotta be okay. Most of the time, we go to the camps of displaced persons and the community centers where these people are. They're bad. ”
And I'd appreciate it since 40 to 65 people are sleeping in a room. For 3,000 to 6,000 people, there are only four men's toilets and four for women. Hygiene is too bad, there is no water. Food and medicine are hard to find. ”

“People have been here for four months and still have no blankets to cover, and their numbers are growing every day, nearly 100 come from the worst parts of the region every day. Thus, requirements are not met with supplies. Community, people here, are trying to help us but they have very little to share. No one can withdraw money from banks, no businesses operating. Yet, whatever they have, they share. ”
It went too fast. For us, this is shocking. So soon. We had a normal life, things were improving medical centers, educational programs. We had 24 thousand children and planned to expand their feeding program in schools. But all of it had to be stopped because of the coronary. Then, like for one day, war happened. For the last three months we've been trying to feed some 25 thousand displaced in 23 centres; some are far from Mekeles. Many have been violated. ”
“There were several indicators late last year: roads were closing, the budget in some areas was cut and we had no further support from the central government. Many humiliations were happening. There was a lot of discrimination going on, but war? War only when it jumped.
“People have been traumad. Some have lost close family members. People are worried about where their family members are. Some are still in the woods. Their houses have been taken. They're worried, anxious, furious. They're seriously worried about the future.
I've met an old man who had moved three times into life, and always because of ethnic wars, but for young people, 30 or 40, this is a whole new situation. I'm 48 years old and I've never experienced a war. It's so weird and scary. This really makes you dark.

When I thought about our lives a year ago, we had peace and signs of development in all areas, in communication systems, irrigation. It was very inspiring, it gave us hope. But now all hospitals have been attacked or destroyed. Now it all seems history. In just a few months.
The “in McKelle bombing has not stopped. The bodies are being left to be eaten by hyenas, unable even to be buried with dignity.
Even young girls from 8 years of age to 72, are being affected. It's so scattered because I see it everywhere, thousands. Violence is done in public, in front of family, men, in front of everyone. Your legs and hands are cut.
You wonder if people are doing this. I don't know who's training them.
Whether they're from Eritrea or Ethiopia. Tragic. It's on purpose. There are over 70 thousand civilians under attack. So much robbery, fighting, rape. All targeting civilians. The brutality, the murders, the attacks.

We're isolated, lonely, neglected. If the world is not affected and takes no action against these atrocities, you should ask why. All this suffering is terrifying.
“I don't know what's worse, dying in a bush of hunger, or in jail, or getting killed with a gun. Young people are so scared.
“Bota must condemn the killings of civilians.
I'd like to tell the world: in the 21st century, nobody should die of hunger when the world can take any action. Anyone who can help, let him do it without waiting a second. Everyone in the world has to act, condemn this thing. I know it can be done. There must be someone I can do, and I can do it quickly. ”
