Shutting down a business and punishing another 23 for disrespecting anti-Condavid-19 measures

Sanitary inspectors of the Food and Veterina Agency, together with members of the Kosovo Police, last night during inspections in gastronomia businesses for disrespect of the Ovid-19 measures, have imposed 15 fines in Pristina and 8 others in Ferizaj region.

AUV spokesman Lamir Thaci stressed for Kosova Pres, that the agency through the Sanitarian Inspectorate, even before the holidays, and during yesterday's Fiter Bajrami holiday, has monitored and appealed that on top of any holiday, it is the preservation of the health and life of citizens.

He said that how competent authorities have acted on the ground all over the country at all times to monitor the implementation of anti-Condavid measures, given the government's recent decision.

Even during last night we have fined some gastronomy locals, which haven't created a distance storage conditions. Only in Pristina were 15 locals fined and half of them not only fined, but also emptied and closed for last night, because it has been impossible to create the conditions for remote preservation. Controls for monitoring implementation of anti-Condavid measures will continue throughout Kosovo's territory. We and the police are responsible for their oversight and will continue to work on the constant decline in the number of infected. Thanks to the checks we have conducted along with the Kosovo police and the severity we've shown especially in the last month, we have managed to have a drastic drop in the number of infected”, he stressed.

Thaci says last night in Ferizaj they closed a gastronomy bar and fined eight sos.

The “just last night in the Ferizaj region have imposed 8 legal fines, 4 of them are in Kacanik and 4 others in Ferizaj. A bar is closed because it violated antiCondavid measures. We now, in addition to the fines we are declaring for business, these when they violate the measures, our move will always be to close them, because the goal is not only to pronounce fines, but the measures must be respected for having a success in the fight against Cold19”, Thaci points out.

He added that as enforcement law watchdogs, they will work on the mandate to influence the decline in the number of affected by Covid-19. To that end, he points out that it is always necessary to cooperate with citizens and businesses so that they feel responsible for respecting the masses, since only in this form can this global phenomenon be fought.

As far as fines are concerned, AUV spokesman has said that depending on violations and type of businesses, punitive measures ranging from 200 to 2000.
