Reaction after recent events at the K.B. Ponte from Prizren:
We company Ponte, with much effort and sacrifice, have managed to be the main sponsor for a period of 3-year sponsorship for the K.B. Ponte from Prizren. For a short time, thanks to the maximum and genetic commitment of our company, players and club players, in the year when we reached the peak of success by completing the season in the rankings in the first place and after a phenomenal series of semifinals, some people have badly defined our success with a very dangerous scandal that ended with beatings of players.
We've sponsored basketball in general and K.B. Ponte, in particular, has the only intention of inspiring new generations in sports and sports culture. However, the conclusion of this season with scandals like this is unacceptable, and we never dreamed of it coming this way.
Not enough of the players' beating scandal, the scandal also continues at the Kosovo Basketball Federation Race Commission, where this commission exactly analyses the facts and official reports of institutions, as fast as ever before, comes within a few hours of the night with a unilateral decision and condemns an exemplary club, while favors nonsport behaviour and players at the other club.
Following these shameful events, non-sport, degrading and unilateral decisions, the company Ponte has no choice but regrets informs all that we have been forced and withdrawed from the sponsorship of the K.B. Ponte from Prizren. So, we will not for a long time sponsor any sports club in the Republic of Kosovo until the perpetrators leave sports in general and basketball in particular”, reports UN Ponte Prizren.
