The final will be played between Manchester City and Chelsea on May 29th in Istanbul.
However, given that there are two English clubs in the finals and that there are currently serious concerns about coronavirus in Turkey, the English Government called for it to be moved to the Wimbledon Stadium.
Now Sky Sports Italy is reporting that the announcement will take place within 24 hours that Portugal has been chosen as the location for this final to be played.
It will be in “Estadio do Dragao”, which is on the green list of the English Government of countries that fans can travel from and without having to ride quarantine.
If the players were to go to Turkey, they would have to quarantine at least 10 days at a hotel, which could block their preparations before Euro 2020.
It will also be the second year that the Champions League Final has been played in Portugal.
Last season, because of pandemic, the entire eight finals were compensated for a tour of direct elimination in various Portuguese cities.
