Salihu: On Daut Haradinaj's candidacy, AAK will have growth in Pristina

Analysts expect a strong race in the capital for the election of the first municipality in local elections to be held in October of this year. They even say political parties will compete with their main figures, following the formalisation of Daut Haradinaj's candidacy from the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo. In [...]
In March of this year, Haradinaj has formalised his candidacy to lead with the capital. So far none of the other political parties in the country have submitted their candidates for the race in Pristina.
Political analyst Fitim Salihu, in an interview for Online Economy, added Haradinaj's candidacy would give a strong impetus AAK in Pristina in local elections.
I believe Daut Haradinaj will give a boost The AAK in Pristina, he will have believed an increase in Pristina now suddenly I don't know what we can count on, whether it will be in a run-off but I don't think there will be any growth but a respect that makes to the party by sending the party's number two figure to run, and I believe that if not for the run-off with the energy to add to Daut Haradinaj, AAK will be a RK-mak-maker<1.
I think that at the end of the coalition, because it is very important even to have a leader and majority of asmblists to govern for four years and I believe that the AAK will be a key to the winning party to make the necessary number of asmblists to govern four years”, Salihu said.
He further says he does not expect Pristina's current chairman, Shpend Ahmeti, to run again, as he sees it very difficult to secure a third term from him.
I personally do not expect, this does not rule out the possibility that he may even run, personally do not expect. The first reason is the fact that he has two consumed mandates and even if he was part of the VV a party that came first in Pristina on February 14th, I believe that as the third term again would be difficult to win, but even the second one when he adds the fact that now he has no support either of Vetevendosje, nor possibly no part of the PSD, and how alone he would have extremely difficult to run<1>, he stressed further.
Among other things, he stresses that the race for the capital is very important, stressing that no party should consider the race as safe, because it will be a very close and rather unclear race.
“Of course, as always the race for the capital is most important and many times know it to be even closer, however the perception may seem wrong now any party that thinks it has a safe race and I believe it's still going to be a tight race, and by election night it's going to be much more uncertain when it comes to the calculator and the run-off that can easily reverse the whole game is a vague winner and that, of course, as the parties can see as well as proposed or the names as proposed<1>
The most respected party <x0 figures for the capital have been happening so far with those who have been the official candidate and those who are expected to be potentially official party candidates, so that of course they are stronger figures, it is expected to be a tight race, there is no exception to either the AAK or the PDK, but also the VV and LDK believing they will go with their best candidates, and this will make the race very unclear<1>
Likewise, Sadri Rrmok from the Kosovar Institute for Local Governance said it is expected to be a strong race for choosing Pristina's first one, adding that local elections can surprise them.
“In fact, local elections usually have days to surprise because depending on the candidates who have submitted political parties, so they have come up with results and the moment we are not even having a survey of who the results are, yet as far as they can see and as they are spoken in opinion without anything official, it is expected to be a strong race in the capital and which I hope we will soon see its epilog and have a head for Pristina, which is elected by the citizens of”, he said.
The current says Daut Haradinaj's candidacy will affect other parties in the election of their candidates.
“In the concrete case Daut Haradinaj's candidacy for the municipality of Pristina is an candidacy which the AAK party has submitted its candidacy that thinks is the strongest and is suitable for the race, which is expected to be a strong race in the capital, and historically the capital has been one of the main races in all municipalities from all parties, and all parties try to present their best candidates and their proper programmes to win the race in the capital”, he points out.
It ends up stressing that each of the candidates should extend a programme of clear objectives for resolving Pristina's problems.
“As far as candidates are concerned, it is only now that names are spoken of by political parties claiming to have a candidate, as far as the race in the capital does not know what we might consider a fierce race, yet I expect that candidates who will be in the race for the capital will have a political platform on which they will stand before the citizens and reveal it through their goals with which they aim to solve the problems of the capital”, Rremok concluded.
