PDK takes government decision to Constitution that pays electricity to Kosovo Serbs

On behalf of the PDK Parliamentary Group's deputies, MP Blerta Deliu Kodra has submitted to the Constitutional Court the requirement for assessing the constitutionalisation of Kosovo's decision on the separation of 11m euros for electricity payment to the four northern municipalities in Kosovo. Deliu Kodra said this [...]
Deliu Kodra has said this decision of the Parliament, backed by deputies of the Vetevendosje Movement and the Serbian List, has damaged Kosovo's budget, taking constitutionally Kosovo citizens' taxes, to pay for the energy spent by citizens and businesses in the country's north.
This constitutes a constitutional violation because of the pre-equal treatment of citizens before the law. Kosovo's constitution and laws should be borne and executed for both the citizens of the south and the north. We expect the Constitutional Court to take credit for this case and within the legal deadline to grant that request and abolish the Parliament's decision.”, she has said.
Deliu Kodra has recalled that the past government, led by Albin Kurti before 1 year, had paid 10m euros for paying the Serb current in the north, while now through the decision in the Vetevendosje provided another 11m euros.
So within a period of 1 year, Albin Kurti's government allocated 21m euros for energy spent in the country's north by citizens and businesses there. With these 21m euros, the government has been able to buy anti- vaccines. - CO VID for all Kosovo citizens, not to close their eyes to the domestic pandemic disaster.”, she stressed.
