Soon, though, it was understood what it really is. The Israeli National News reports on a deliberate fraud that the Israeli armed forces announced would launch the offensive with its infantry, causing Hamas to be deceived and sent to underground tunnels. When the Israeli air force began bombing, the tunnels were their target. In the 35th minute of the attack on Hamas' network tunnels, Israel destroyed nearly a mile of underground passage, believed to have been killed by 10 Hamas militants.
About 160 planes have bombed the tunnels and 450 bombs reportedly were dropped, respectively, about 80 tons of explosives. It is the network of underground tunnels, which are hundreds of miles long and scattered throughout northern Gaza.
The Hamas tunnels carry various military weapons and equipment they use for bombing Israeli cities.
