Publicist Nexmedin Spahiu has confessed his only experience in negotiations with Serbia, and which he has called a remarkable “success” that had surprised the Red Cross, New York, Washington and Brussels. It seems that Spahiu is the effort lacking in the expert team that will help the Government of Kosovo in dialogue [...]
It seems that Spahiu is the applicant who lacks the team of experts who will help Kosovo Government in dialogue with Serbia in Brussels, consisting of names like Veton Surroi, Blerim Shala, Bernard Nikaj, etc.
He has declared that he had proposed the meeting in Belgrade, which had also enabled him to hold it since the Serbian side would reject meetings in any other country.
In fact, the Serbian side does not refuse meetings currently held in Brussels for a decade, Periscope follows.
He adds that he has left the International Red Council, New York, Washington and Brussels confused “with the extraordinary success of negotiations with Serbia in which he was participating.
For his readers he has even shared a document that confirms what he says.
Full status:
The first meeting between the Kosovo Government delegation and that of Serbia took place in Belgrade in March 2005. It was expected that wherever the meeting was proposed the Serb side would refuse. It was my proposal, then unexpected and surprising to all, that the meeting site be the Government building in Belgrade. The Serbian side could not refuse it. The meeting resulted in 3 agreements with full reciprocity. A remarkable success for the time that surprised the International Red Cross, New York, Washington and Brussels. I never forget the support of Nanna Ferdonija Cerkezi, the mother of four missing boys who found the power to come with me to Belgrade. Unfortunately, this success was not further followed, because Ramush Haradinaj went to The Hague and I never again became part of any government.
