Democratic Party of Kosovo MP Ganimete Musliu has said today at the plenary hearing that it is shameful for the government led by Albin Kurti, who stopped the aid of the pandemic for pensioners, policemen and health staff, and those means spent to pay the flow to Serbs in northern Kosovo.
She said the Government's decision to reduce additions has been offended and the work of police officers, health workers has been depreciated, and the dignity of about 180 thousand pensioners from them has been affected by the 140 thousand basic pensioners who receive social retirement.
Deputy Ganimetie Musliu's full word:
While during the pandemic period, we have seen how countries in the region have adopted numerous economic measures and in certain phases, with the aim of restoring their economies, unfortunately the governance of Kurti, which in this period of pandemic has governed more than six months, is certainly very responsible for the perceived failures in many sectors, of them also in the economy sector.
Not only does this government have the knowledge and courage to cope with the management of the situation but it does not have the knowledge and courage to apply the only law that we passed last year - the Law on Economic Regeneration.
And we today, we are talking about the decisions of this government, which took over a month ago, where, among other things, the removal of additions to Kosovo health workers, pensioners and policemen, corrective and customs officials.
Rather than boosting economic and financial support for the economy hit by pandemics and for doctors and health workers, for police and customs officers, for pensioners and other categories, the government halved aid for several categories and completely canceled it for some others.
As deputy and citizen, I've taken this decision of government, and I consider it scandalous, and a major blow to the heroes of pandemic, doctors and health workers, to our grandparents, and to the police who keep order and make the law every day, who unfortunately have been the most endangered in this time of pandemic.
With the Government's decision to reduce additions, the work of police officers, health workers has been ignored, and the dignity of about 180 thousand pensioners of them has been affected by the 140 thousand basic pensioners who receive social retirement.
Let citizens know that about half a million euros of support for corrective service officials, AVUK inspectors, Customs and ATK have been cancelled by the Kurti government.
Only about 4m euros have been earmarked for additions to the sectors directly endangered by the pandemic -- the health sector -- already previously set aside 11m euros. So about 7 million euros less.
For salaries in gastronomium, additions of 50 % are net, while for doctors, nurses, police are gross and halved.
Retirement schemes have allocated means of 9m euros less than the previous and cancelled decision.
So with this governing logic, Kurti Government is knowingly leading the country's economy to collapse, losing jobs and endangering thousands of families.
With this logic, Kurti Government is leaving doctors, health workers, and pensioners without state care as some of the most endangered categories of pandemic.
The 222m and four hundred thousand euros, set forth for easing the pandemic situation adopted in the Economic Regeneration Law, have been replaced by disparaging and derogatory measures by the Kurti government.
Lack of state hand is unfortunately felt every day and every family in Kosovo.
However, let us not forget, in fact this government and parliamentary majority have made a decision. But you know who he is. It's a constitutional decision to pay the turn to the north.
This power before a month halted 30 euros' extensions for pensioners, while a week later made a decision to allocate 11m euros to pay the electricity to the country's north. So the Kurti 1 government and Kurti 2 government have allocated 21m euros to the December 2020 calendar year December 2021.
This money, separated from Kosovo's budget, is unfortunately maintaining crime in the country's north and parallel structures there.
As well as financing illegal and criminal activities for the production of cryptovatolus, where there is a recent increase.
So, we have a government and party like the Vetevendosje Movement that is unconditionally subject to Serbia and criminal structures there, even though for 20 years they have their mouths full against Sebri.
