He has repeatedly expressed his dissatisfaction with the management of the Kosovo National Theatre, which he claims is being “privatised” and which in itself is a racist claim.
Cheko stopped before his strike, but it is unknown whether the artist's demands in question called Sokol and the surname of Manly will be met.
“Under strike circumstances we discussed together some of the theatre's specifics of problems with the particular emphasis on slaving the TKK and cancelling, extending more than three times the position of artistic leader in the TKK. This position, which out of 2019 is kept open”, has been expressed by Mandall.
What it means by “the theatre's” is not currently known.
One of the slogans that can be seen written under the carpet where he is striking is the following: “With the UDB... with the UDB... there is no National Theatre”
