Bremen was defeated with a score of 2-4 by Borussia Montengladbachı under the last lap in Bundesliga that took place last week.
This loss left them in the 17th place of Bundesliga, falling from the league simultaneously, and continuing to Bundesliga 2.
Milot Rasica exploited his social network, Instagram to deliver a message to the German team's desperate fans.
“Ende hurts after a week and we're very disappointed. It will take some time to process this” into our minds, he said.
“I am truly sorry, I apologize from all Werder's fans”, he added.
“Meanwhile, I would like to thank you for your indefatigable support and loyalty in this season, you've always been on our side, thank you very much”, Milot Rasica concluded.
Werder Bremen will play in Bundesliga 2 from next season.
