According to A2 sources, the Edi Rama-led party has so far collected 47 signatures by MPs.
The initiative is expected to be deposited in the following hours in the Assembly, and an investigative commission is expected to be established quickly to review the application.
Mazhorance has earlier declared that President Ilir Meta will be dismissed from the current Assembly in connection with constitutional violations and his involvement in the campaign.
This is the second time the current majority has undertaken an initiative for Ilir Meta's dismissal within a mandate.
