Today it is five years since Kosovo was admitted to the big European football house, UEFA. To mark this important date, President Agim Ademi has been prepared to write a letter and in a photomontage where he appears in five pictures, of historic chairman Fadil Vokrri in just three. Exactly 3 [...]
On May 3, 2016, our country was granted full access to the world's largest football organization, writes IndexOnline.
By 28 votes for, 24 against and two abstentions, at the U congress EFA, Kosovo was accepted as 55th member of this organisation.
And after five years of maturity and experience, Kosovo's Football Federation highly recognises the work of all contributors that our country today enjoys the right to join other countries in UEFA.
Dear directors of clubs, football players/s, trainers, judges, former football officials, former football players, members of the FFK, you #Dardana of other club fans, business partners, donors and sports journalists; honoured Kosovo citizens!
We once counted years of suffering and resistance, hoping that each passing year would be the last under difficult circumstances and outside the large European football family.
Our desire and will never waned, although at times reaching the goal seemed as challenging and challenging with many obstacles. However, thanks to the dedication of many generations and the continuation of football, on May 3, 2016, at the Budapest Congress, we were able to break the unjust isolation and become part of the large UEFA family.
And now, we have the fortune to count with pride the years as a member of the European football community. This 5th anniversary finds us more consolidated and more experienced. The experience of 25 years of isolation no doubt served us to manage even the new situation created by the global pandemic Covid-19, which has hit not only football but every sphere of life.
On this important day, I want to thank once again all generations of football players and all football workers and activists from the beginning to the present. Their determination not to stop when there were no life conditions and let alone football made us come to where we are today.
The merits belong to each one of them, both to those who sweated in the green field and to those whose property was placed in soccer service at the time of occupation, and to numerous donors who spared nothing of themselves to keep football alive.
In this anniversary, I want to honour and appreciate the bold and uncomfortable work of the Federation leaders at different periods, starting with the first chairman after the summer, Agim Bytyci, then Rexhep Abdullahu, Sabri Hashan and legend Fadil Vokri, along with all their co-activists over the years.
During these five years as part of U The EFA has made great progress in all aspects and witnessed success stories. Now NFK enjoys U's respect and sympathy EFA and all the sisters' federations.
For a short cycle, we have witnessed our potential, both with national teams and clubs, but also with the massiveity of football in young people and women. Membership in # UEFA has also helped us improve infrastructure, where many projects are already under way, while in co-operation with central and local institutions we believe we will do even more in the coming years.
We're lucky to have a youth who's addicted to football, so we need to take advantage of its talent and potential, creating the conditions needed for the most popular game not just us, but throughout the globe.
We are also blessed to have talents throughout Europe. They will always be welcome to contribute to their fathers' homeland and to raise the team level of chains of our nation.
I hope that as soon as conditions are created, we see our fans at the stadium again, our fans, as in addition to motivating football players, with their creativity over these five years, they have created impressive images of world opinion.
In the end, I would like to thank once again all the NFF friends and supporters, especially #DFB-to and our associates in Germany, ♪ FSHF-to President Armand Duka, then-U legal officer EFA, Aladair Bell for the excellent interpretation and argument of U.S. Stattu EFA as well as former president's adviser ♪ FIFA-Sep Blutter, Jerome Champagne.
In my name and the Executive Committee I wish this 5th anniversary to the entire football community, confident that we will enjoy many other achievements in the future.
May we continue with pride and responsibility, recalling the past filled with glory and sacrifice.
Congratulations and good priest!
With respect, Agim Ademi, president of FFK”.
