Beden has reiterated Osman's great importance to Kosovo's dialogue with Serbia even in this letter, until he has mentioned that it will be necessary to become a difficult “compromising” and “flexible compromise” on the part of our country.
Vjosa Osman's positions on the issue are known.
As for vaccines, Osman prefrarates the last paragraph in the letter that Biden has sent to mention the COVAX programme, from which Kosovo has already benefited 24 thousand doses of AstraZenecas, Periscope reports.
Biden tells her his team will contact him if the amount of vaccines in the US is added.
Full status:
I thank the President of the United States, Joe Biden, for his heartfelt letter in the name of the American people.
President Beden emphasises the long partnership between our two countries rooted in common values, citing the Biden family's personal report with Kosovo. He has also stressed that he will work with us on priorities dealing with strengthening rule of law, fighting corruption, protecting minority rights and religious communities, recovering from the consequences of the David-19 pandemic, economic development, and ensuring a stable energy future.
In particular, I thank President Biden for responding to my 19 March letter about helping secure vaccines, as the number one priority of our institutions. President Biden has suggested that with the increase in the amount of vaccines, the United States will work on their distribution and that his team will be in touch with my team to realise that goal.
President Biden's letter also stresses that the US supports continuing dialogue with Serbia. “The United States will continue to support efforts to ensure lasting peace and productive dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, and ultimately the comprehensive agreement on normalisation, which we believe would have to focus on mutual recognition”, says Beden's letter.
