Mitrovica's prosecution has launched investigations into three matches of Kosovo's Superleague in football for a plot until last year had begun investigations into four more cases.
The National Council for the Prevention of Violence in Sports (KKPDHS) has collected all the information it has received from individuals' statements about the possibility of playing soccer games, in particular those of the Superleague. Information collected, KKPDHS has sent them to the Prosecutor and Police in Kosovo, while it remains these two senior state institutions to continue investigations.
KOHA has learned from sources that at least three cases have been sent for investigation into the Prosecutor and the Kosovo Police from the Council.
The head of the National Council for the Prevention of Violence in Sports, Prosecutor Besim Kelmendi, has declined to elaborate for TIME. But he has invited everyone with information or facts to address the Council he leads.
“Sic is aware, there have been recently been statements by some individuals about the possibility of hatching, and we have sent any information we have received to the competent prosecutor and to the Kosovo Police for verification. I also inform you that we, together with the Police and Prosecutors, are conveying every match and information on any negative phenomenon in sports. More information I cannot provide, but for others you can contact the Kosovo Prosecution and Police, because we as the Council only send them to the competent prosecutor's competence while not conducting investigations. Remember, in time to verify information is difficult to give details about the actions of the Prosecutor and the Police. I appeal on behalf of the Council to all who have or can receive any information about any negative phenomena or matchworks to report to the Council”, Kelmendi said.
The council also has the upper hand in combating the traps and other irregularities in football. The Council has admitted to a plot. But their record remains difficult, if not impossible. Public charges cannot be confirmed when involved are interviewed by the prosecution.
In fact, Mitrovica's Constitutional Prosecutor had earlier filed charges for the Trepca Fush-Kosovo match, until last year at least four other matches had launched investigations on suspicion of setting up results.
So far, there's no convicts for setting up. The NFF over a decade ago had taken action against a case. A doorkeeper had accepted the result, and the organs acted. It was easier for them. The council, respectively, now finds it difficult to find such ones as speak and accept. And the situation is not improving. Everyone admits there's a plot, but no one confirms it. No team is listed on charges, in fact, as well as those previously hailed by the Superlea, even those that fight to the end for remains in the elite, for going out to Europe or for title.
Alliances among clubs are another problem that impedes the development of Kosovo football. Clubs help each other achieve goals.
The rumours of matchmaking mostly grow in the final championship phase. The accusation that one team favoured the other team occurred in the past weeks. There were public charges, among other spa fans, that the Lappy Light match, won by the latter, was set. But by Lip's coach, Tahir Batatina, he was flatly denied.
There's always been and there's always will be, I can't stop”, he said, among other things, Coach Batatia on the “show. KTV's Total Sports”. /Periscope. com/
