Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, has said on Thursday that this state has reached agreement with the American company Modernna on purchasing anti-cronobitus vaccines.
According to him, the vaccines of this company should reach Serbia by the end of October.
In a conversation with representatives of the Atlantic Council, he has said Serbia has not tested Chinese or other company vaccines, and that vaccines that Serbian authorities have purchased have passed all phases of testing.
“You have to endure harsh criticism when you do something and I'm proud that I'm part of a team that did something we did our job and got more vaccines than others”, Vuciq said when asked about Serbia's “diplomacy vaccine” in the region.
He has said Serbia has not bought vaccines on geopolitical grounds, and that it has in mind saving people's lives.
Serbia has secured vaccines of the American company Pfizer, British, AstraZeneca, Russian Sinopharm and Russian Sputnik V.
Russian and Chinese vaccines have not yet been approved by the European Drug Agency and the World Health Organization. / REL
