The meeting has been interrupted for consultations on how it will continue.
Russia's representative at the UN Security Council session has asked the head of the session for Kosovo Foreign Minister Donica Grovall to remove the Kosovo flag behind him or change the environment.
“We are not against the representatives of Kosovo, however, I want to share the fact that Mrs. Donika Gervala is sitting in front of the Kosovo flag. Kosovo is not recognised as a state but only as a territory, so we seek to continue its presentation either to change the look back or to remove the flag so that we can move away”, the Russian representative said.
To that Russia's request, the representative of Great Britain has reacted, saying they see no reason for Kosovo's top diplomat to change the view he will present.
“This is not an official meeting and we do not see any reason for Minister Gervall to change the look back to continue the presentation”, the United Kingdom representative said.
