The former Rome captain came up positive after the outbreak of the Coronavirus in Italy's team during March's qualifying matches for the World Championship.
The newspaper reports that the former midfielder was hospitalised in Rome, just weeks after beginning his experience with Azzur.
De Rossi was appointed as one of the team's technical staff members led by Roberto Mancini last month.
