Residents say Serbia's gendarmerie entered Karacevèa dealt with by Government, Kamenica municipality

Karacheva village head Selver Lenyan has declared that the Serbian gendarmerie has entered this village's territory at noon Tuesday.

He has stated that he has also announced the rule institutions.

“Day at 12: 00 a.m., the Serbian gendarmerie has entered Karatcheva, and we residents of the Karacheva border generation noticed their entrance, and at that moment we were afraid of all residents, because from 2001 to today they go armed to the teeth, this is disturbing. We've got all the relief mechanisms. But they are powerless to make decisions and rule our land. Where there is greater provocation than when Serbia's armed force enters with motor vehicles, it allows room to understand that it is Karacheva's big problem”, Lenjan has declared.

He said residents of Karacheva are afraid of the Serbian gendarmerie's entry into this village.

The introduction of the Serbian gendarmerie on the territory of the Kosovo republic is of concern to Karacheva residents. This is permanent fear. With all the motor tools the gendarmerie comes in and nobody bothers. All meetings with KFOR are understood, but let the Albanian army come out on Serbia's territory and see if they'll be back here alive. We're against meetings, but not Kosovo territory. If the police and KFOR don't guard this part, we don't have a way to stay here for 24 hours”, Lenyan has declared.

Kosovo's government has also been asked about reporting residents that the Serbian gendarmerie has entered Karacheva territory.

Government spokesman Progress Kryeziu has declared the event to have been a regular meeting of US and Turkish KFOR with members of the Serbian Army.

“We are aware of today's activity along the border belt in Karacheva. It has been a regular meeting of US and Turkish KFOR with members of the Serbian Army”, Kryeziu has declared for Express.

Meanwhile, the Kamenica Community Information Office has stated for Express that there is still no official information from the responsible bodies regarding the case.

“We as a municipality are expecting official information from the awareness organs on this matter”, says the account office's response in the Kamenica municipality.

Otherwise, there had been cases during the past year when Serbian gendarmerie had entered the village territory of Karacheva.

Residents of this village had protested in connection with this, after the entry of the Serbian gendarmerie in Karadcheva, they had called it provocation. /
