Bayerni launched a communique just moments ago, where Karl-Heinz Rummenigge spoke.
Commenting on plans to introduce a European Superleague, FC Bayern München Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said: “FC Bayern has not been involved in plans to create a Super League. We are convinced that the current structure in football guarantees a reliable foundation. FC Bayern welcomes the Champions League reforms because we believe they are the right step to take for the development of European football. The modified phase of the groups will contribute to an increase in excitement and emotional experience in competition”.
Rummenigge also said he does not believe the Superliga will solve the financial problems of clubs caused by the pandemic COVID-19.
I don't believe Super League will solve the financial problems of European clubs that are born as a result of the coronary pandemic. On the contrary, all clubs in Europe must work in solidarity to ensure that the cost structure, especially the players' salaries and agents have been brought in line with revenues, to make all European football” more rational, he stressed.
