PDK MP Ganimete Musliu said today in the parliamentary debate on media management that Kosovo's citizens have now faced different challenges as well as economical challenges.
It is clear that the fight against pandemic is difficult and requires the commitment of each of us. We are ready for co-operation, but the approach of the government is selective access and non-transparent approach, not only in relation to other parties, but also in relation to citizens whose vote took to lead this country”, Musliu said.
She said the state of Kosovo has enough budgets for the purchase of vaccines, but there are no capable people managing the state, which is obligated to provide the vaccine.
It is a disaster for the country how this government has no courage to negotiate decisively and seriously with companies that produce vaccines and provide enough doses for our citizens. And the worst thing is that this government, its failures in this direction, sells them to opinion as top secret acts, thus eliminating both transparency and co-operation”, Musliu said.
PDK MP Ganimete Musliu has also asked Minister Arben Vitita how it is possible to close the gastronomy and leave all other businesses open? How is it possible to stop accessing a large number of citizens without having a plan for help?
“is clearly seen as having no government, nor is it intended to take the situation under control. Pandemia, except for life, is also causing serious damage to family economies. Facing citizens with pandemic, losing jobs, making ad hoc decisions. etc. They've put citizens in debt and what's more serious, the government's not giving even the minimum signs that there's a plan to counter these damage, as much as governance means media and philosophical propaganda, almost has nothing to do with the economy. But the government needs to know that the damage done to businesses and the damage done to the people will be difficult to fix. Economic stability is also an important factor in the overall physical and mental stability. Fear of the virus, the death of loved ones, the loss of resources, is bringing citizens to the limit of what man can endure. And the response of this government was, the closure of gastronomy, the police clock at night and the stop of 20 euros of pensioners, while the rate of anxiety, depression and fatigue has increased significantly”, she said.
According to MP Musliu, an infected person with Covid, daily treatment is costing the government 100 to 150 euros, telling the government to count on the amount each citizen spends on therapy to recovery, while one infected gets only 50 Euros from the municipality.
