In a random interview near his car on Monday, the Portuguese coach appeared in a good mood and insisted that he would return to the bench very soon.
His dismissal came after the draw of Tottenham 2:2 with Everton at the weekend and just days before the Tottenham final against Manchester City in Carabao Cup.
Mourinho had been under a lot of pressure for months because Tottenham faced a tough four - ball battle at Premierliga.
But after drawing back to Everton, Tottenham ranks seventh on the table with five points from fourth place.
