Kosovo Archbishop following attack on Tirana mosque: Such acts of violence should not occur in our society

The bishop of Diocese Prizren-Pristina, Dodo Gjergji after the attack that took place today at the Kavaja street mosque in Albania's capital, where five people remain injured, has sent a letter of solidarity to the chairman of the Islamic Community of Albania, where he has expressed confidence that the person who has caused this tragedy will receive the answer [...]
In his letter, Dode Gjergji has stressed that such acts of violence and the threat of human lives should not occur in any reality of our society, much less in places of worship and in the month of Ramadan.
Full letter:
Very honored, Mr. President. Spahiu, in grief and deep grief, received news of the ugly event that has occurred today in the Kavaja Street Mosque in Albania's capital, where five Tuaj Community believers were wounded.
I am convinced that the person who caused this tragedy will receive the well-deserved response to justice bodies in Albania, but personally, I want to judge this act unacceptable to all of us Albanians, regardless of which trust we meet. Such acts of violence and the threat of people's lives should not occur in any reality of our society, much less in places of worship and in the month of Ramadan.
This way, I express solidarity with your community and with the families of the wounded. At the same time, with all Catholic believers in Kosovo, I pray to God for their quick recovery.
Use the opportunity to wish you a light fast during this month of Ramadan!
Dode Gjergji,
Diocese Bishop Prizren-Pristina
