Hungary crashes with Germany after Herta Berlin fired a football coach

Hungary has officially complained to Germany about the dismissal of a Hungarian football goalkeeper following comments about adopting children from homosexual couples, immigration and what he described as a lack of tolerance for conservative positions. German Bundesliga football club Hetha Berlin reported the dismissal of coach Zsolt Petry on April 6th, saying his comments to a Hungarian newspaper do not reflect the values of diversity and tolerance on the team.
In part of the local newspaper interview, coach Petry criticised European migration policies, described Europe as the Christian continent, while migration policies such as “manimation of moral decline”.
A deputy Hungarian Prime Minister, Viktor Orban, publicly criticised the German club's decision to sack the coach, labeling him shocking and comparing him with the totalitarian regime of Nazi Germany, writes Free Europe,
Orban's chief of staff, Gergely Gulyas, said before reporters: “It is Germany who must first respond if it still respects rule of law. ”
Hungary's Foreign Ministry called for the report to a German diplomat Thursday to complain about the dismissal of the Hungarian coach.
On the other hand, Germany's Foreign Ministry responded by saying the Hungarian side's message “is in no way understandable to us”.
