In this interview, a day prior to the confrontation in Seville, Wolfani has indicated that in 1994 he had left his homeland because of the war with Serbia.
We have fled to Belgium. I grew up there and could choose to play for Belgium or Albania. I chose Albania because my family is Albanian and Kosovo did not exist as a representative. I played 20 games with Albania. But playing for my country was a dream. So when Kosovo became recognised as a state, I immediately launched the procedure to change nationals. I was the first to do so even though they were only friendly”, he told of “Marcan”.
According to him, the Kosovo representative team's objective is to show the world that the people of Kosovo are good and to show the country's traditions.
He has shown that he has lost many family members in the war, while thanking Belgium for helping them when they were leaving Kosovo.
As it makes the match in Seville nervous, against a state that recognises Kosovo, Ujcan has said that “sport is more powerful than politics”.
“Against Ukraine, we had to play in Poland. Sports opens doors, unites states and peoples. With all the problems the world has, football has served as liberation and entertainment”, he said, refusing to talk about Spain-Kosovo reports. We need to talk about football, about life”
He named it a historic match against Spain.
“We believe we will leave good image”, he declared.
Wolfani has said that to achieve positive results in Spain, Kosovo needs a miracle.
Kosovo has started the 3:0 loss qualifications from Sweden. Spain, meanwhile, has four points in two matches. He's had sex with Greece and won over Georgia.
