THE VAR doesn't give a penalty to Man City because Phil Foden didn't fall down and try to stand up.

We've seen goals cancelled because the player's sleeve was for a few millimeters off the game, while we're sitting and watching the officials draw us lines on our TV screens.
We've seen the wrong decisions that sometimes influenced the change of order after seeing their mistakes.
Sometimes the easiest way is to take the reins yourself and ask questions about LAW later.
That's exactly what Phil Foden tried to do during Manchester City's encounter with Southampton.
Kevin De Bruyne passed City before the guests evened.
But City could easily earn a penalty a few minutes later.
Faden stole the ball from Southampton's goalie, Alex McCarty, and it seemed safe to score. McCarty caught Foden with an intervention, and City midfielder tried to stand at his feet to score. However, he failed to put the ball through the empty gate.
Justice Jon Moss allowed the continuation of the game, but the VAR would certainly see the incident and award the penalty.
But no.
Despite random transmissions, it was decided this wasn't a penalty... /Periscope. com/
