Spain's Football Federation at emergency Kosovo cause

Spain's Football Federation will hold an emergency meeting today during the day, as the Kosovo Football Federation let it know Tuesday that it will refuse to play against it in the World Cup qualifying match this month if the Kosovo flag and anthem are not respected. The Spanish Federation rocked [...]
The Spanish Federation shocked yesterday when it announced it would refer to Kosovo as territory and that instead of its national anthem, it would play music before the March 31st meeting in Seville.
The NFF was quick in its response to Spain, which reminded her of FIFA and U regulations. EFA's about official matches.
“The Spanish attempt to minimise Kosovo's citizenship in the March 31st match for World qualifications “Catar 2022”, referring to Kosovo as territory, is in vain and unjust. They are aware that on this date they will face the Kosovo National, which will be represented as any other state”, the FFK response said on Tuesday.
“The FIFA EFA is known and clear as crystal and Spain knows that, so what it says and says doesn't change these rules and in no way will they change. If they want to reason before internal opinion it's their issue, but Kosovo won't make any concessions, we'll play only according to the criteria and strict rules of U. EFA, with the anthem and state flag, or the match will not take place”.
This has prompted the Spanish federation to call an emergency meeting Wednesday to find a solution, according to the media in Spain.
Kosovo is in the 2022 World Cup qualifying Group, along with Spain, Sweden, Greece and Georgia, three of which have recognised its independence.
Spain recognises Kosovo mainly because of Catalonia, its northeastern region, which had unanimously voted in a referendum in 2017 to be independent of Spain.
