The 26-year-old Swedish-born Russian recently had to withdraw from confronting Leon Edwards after experiencing symptoms of coronary, Periscopi broadcasts.

Now it looks like he confirmed his retirement, three weeks later, even though the president of UFC's Dana White has indicated determined that the rising phenomenon will return in June.
Chimaev wrote in Russian on his Instagram, where he said: ” thank you all for the support you gave me on my trip to this sport. I think I'm finishing it. ”

White, who recently provided Chimaev's flight to Las Vegas for treatment, said of MMA: ” When he came here, doctors took care of him and gave him prednisons, which is a terrible steroid. He trained today, felt like shit, became super emotional and posted it.
He must not be trained, but you know, man is a beast. He wants to fight every weekend and now he can't even train, so he just got emotional and mailed it, but he won't leave.” /Periscope. com/
