The Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) is on the verge of maintaining the party's General Assembly, with the sole reason for the election of New Headship, following the resignations that followed weeks ago, including that of President Isa Mustafa. And while the deadline for announcement of candidacys is up until Sunday, so far there are three official candidates.
It's Anton Quinn, Lutfi Haziri and Lumir Abdixhiku who have publicly made their ambition for the first LDK. And one of the people in this party, Hakki Rugova, the Assembly delegate, in a response to Periscope S.
There are two candidates, Lutfi Haziri and Lumir Abdixhiku, and by Sunday they have the right to announce other candidacys, Rugova has said.
I don't comment on the candidacy. I'm the delegate to the Assembly, and there's a vote I'm gonna get. The vote is hidden and it's my personal matter, he adds to Periscope.
On the other hand, Rugova suggests he does not plan to run for the post.
) No candidacy from me, that's his answer.
Otherwise, today publicly is Deputy Chairman Xhafer Tahiri, who appeared in favour of Lumir Abdixhik's candidacy, even though part of the LDK's old guard did not seem to be of reconciliation.
The process of electing the new LDK chairman is being held following the resignation that Isa Mustafa made shortly after his deep defeat in the February 14th elections. /PERISCOP/
