Albania's Football Federation (FSHF) today ( Thursday) issued a communique showing that if police fail to take all necessary measures, then the English match will not take place.
There have been suspicions that the match will not really take place, and in this regard the Albanian State Police have responded, writes news.
Full response without interference:
“State Police Response
State police have taken all measures to ensure order and public safety, before, and until the end of the international football match between Albania and England's representative teams.
On February 25th, in the State Police environments, with representatives of the FSHF, Mr. Lysien Nurisnik, a pre-pre-preparative meeting has been held between FSF representatives and leading heads of state police facilities. It agreed on measures for normal development of this activity, as well as all obligations for escorts and ensuring the safety of friendly team players.
On March 3rd, the Albanian Football Federation has addressed the Tirana Police Directorate with the paperwork, calling for measures to ensure the safety of the international football match. The Tirana Police Department, after making the regonition of the stadium's external security perimeter, also due to concern made public by the FSF itself, that around the stadium and at the main entrances are business subjects in various fields, it found there was a danger source for the performance of the match. This is where F asked for it. S.H.I.E.P.D., that's through letter communication.
Following, the General Directorate of State Police has drafted the plan of measures by specifying concrete tasks for all police structures that will be engaged. During the time of stay at our friendly team's place, they will engage the structures of DVP Tirana and the Operational Force in the State Police.
Voicing regret for the FSHF's hasty reaction to media, in open opposition to the spirit of co-operation between the two institutions, we recall that communication F. The SF, for each international match, has held it with the Directorate General of State Police, rather than with the DVP Tirana.
State police assure citizens that they have taken all measures to ensure order and security for Albania's international football match England”, written in communique
The match between Albania and England takes place at “Air Albania” and starts at 6:00.
