Osmani has said Lajcak has talked to him about dialogue, saying this process needs revision.
We had a very content discussion at the meeting with Mr. Lajcak, the EU's envoy for dialogue, made clear on behalf of Kosovo institutions that for us the process of dialogue should have a resume, a review that will, among other things, help Kosovo prepare and respect its own interests and citizens in a process that should result in mutual recognition at the current borders and with the current Kosovo Constitution. It is very important that once new institutions are established so that all information on this process can be addressed to new institutions so that all of those agreements have been viewed. It turns out that Serbia has not respected most agreements”, has said the same.
Osmani has said it will only be discussed for mutual recognition.
“We need to make sure that the mandate we receive from parliament is respected, the red lines set up by parliament. It is not allowed to negotiate with Kosovo's borders. There is nothing to negotiate for Kosovo's status, we expect to end with recognition. It is very important that in this process we have a very close co-ordination with the opposition to inform them in detail because only then can we be successful. As president, I will work very closely with opposition to civil society and the media and with citizens to have full support about this process”, she said.
It is time for Serbia and justice for victims to be sought in Brussels. Not only now that the commemoration of numerous massacres is beginning but until June, there are no days when we do not commemorate a massacre. We expect the dialogue to be between both sides equal to”, Osmani added.
