The European Union's Special Representative for Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue Miroslav Lajcak during the media conference said dialogue should not be responsible only for one party in Kosovo, but for all subjects, Online Economy reports.
According to him, there is no obstacle for a comprehensive Kosovo-Serbia agreement to be reached during the mandate of Albin Kurti and Vjosa Osmani.
“I would hope to come here more often, I have come to a Kosovo that has completed the elections and given strong mandate to Osman and Kurti”.
“The EU and the United States are in a partnership and wish that with the arrival of the Biden administration, the relationship is closer than the projected”.
The support for Kurti and Osman's EU electoral programme is ready to support the priorities and EU member states expect the continuation of dialogue that is undertaking issues that are important to Kosovo, and in context we discussed where we are and what we have achieved and what the outcome of these two meetings is that dialogue should continue”
“Political uniformity in Kosovo dialogue is not the responsibility of a party or government, but of all political parties”.
The diplomat wraps up the visit Wednesday to continue in Serbia and Montenegro.
The European Union, in its first post-election reactions in Kosovo on 14 February, has called for new authorities to emerge from these elections to continue constructive engagement in dialogue with Serbia.
Until the election of the new Kosovo government, official Brussels has warned there will be no meetings within the dialogue.
Lajcak has also spoken about the map in his office, where Kosovo presented it as part of Serbia, adding that there is a need for dialogue between the two countries and the comprehensive agreement, EO reports.
He has said he has thought to offend anyone with the map in his office, and in which Kosovo's borders were not marked as if other states in the Balkans.
We will continue as soon as possible and when they are ready where the process can be completed in a few months, but it is not a matter of years and we will not hurry, but we do not expect it to last 3-5 years if these will have” will.
I've already cleared up series. An EU official can only use official maps and this is the map that we've been given, and this has created an emotion and this is evidence that we need dialogue and will be the same map at the end of the dialogue and we can complete this process with a comprehensive” agreement.
