Kransiqi indicated that there are currently 573 patients infected with COVID-19 are lying in local hospitals, which he says is an increase from the previous months.
“The situation from the clinical point at QKUK and hospitals is presented manageable with a tendency to increase cases which have sought hospitalization in recent times. By the middle of last week, there are increasing trends in the case and yesterday, and today we have 573 patients lying in our clinics and presenting a 15 per cent increase in hospitalised patients compared to the average 500 we had over the past few months”, Krasniqi indicated.
In this case Krasniqi said all measures have been taken, which are envisioned with the programme to manage the situation with COVID-19. Even so, he points out that in the event of increased cases, there will be an increase in the number of patients for hospitalization and for which additional beds from other clinics should be required.
“We've taken measures that we've envisioned with the clinical management plan, improving oxygen supply, reorganizing staff, health personnel, and creating conscious spaces by determining new clinics and beds for patients affected by COVID. However, we need to be correct and that any increase in the number of new infected cases that will be followed by increasing the number of patients seeking hospitalization, will require that beds and these beds grow and we don't have extra but we have to take from beds that are destined for other diseases. We'll be forced to treat patients with COVID and violate other services. To prevent this from happening, we must continue to demand the implementation of measures on the part of citizens, and monitoring the bodies of these measures as well as to draw attention that we are still at the time of pandemic and the virus has not yet passed”, Krasniqi said.
The most severe at this meeting was Pristina Inspectorate Director Adonis Tahiri, who said the consequences of the campaign are still unseen and that the distribution of the virus is chain.
That shameful campaign is not yet being seen. Those actions have lost legitimacy for Kosovo inspectors and Police. This situation has come from those who have made their own decisions and laws through the one-year-old work of Kosovo inspectors and policemen. I want to raise it as a concern to remove inspectors from the emergency package”, he said.
