From Premierliga's winners to game legend, some football players have also tried to make a career in other sports.
After spending most of their time with fellow players, it is no surprise that some players wanted another career.
Former Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Czech and Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand are only two of the many stars who have tried to have a career in sports other than football.
These are seven football players who have tried their luck in other sports:
Petr Czech
A few months after he held his last football match, Cech started playing hockey, as a goalkeeper.
David James
Some football stars have decided to leave England for a career at NFL, with James hoping to become one of the football players.
In 2003, James held a match for West Ham, then accepted an invitation to train with the NFL team, Miami Dolfnis.
Granit Holt
Grant Holt's strange career was to change his career from soccer to wrestling.
Holt joined the World Association for wrestling, until earlier he was part of Norwich City.
Joe Hart
Hart wasn't chosen by Gareth Southgate for the World Cup, so he put gloves on the jacks.
Until England conquered Sweden in the quarterfinals, Hart was seen on the jacky field in his hometown of Shrewsbury.
Paolo Maldini
Upon retirement from football with a legendary career of AC Milan, Maldini decided to try tennis and qualify for the Tennis Aspira Cup in 2017.
But then he lost 6-1, 6-1 in 42 minutes, until Maldini said he had muscle problems.
Jerzy Dudek
One of Liverpool's heroes at the Champions League in 2005, Dudek retired in 2013, while the last club was Real Madrid.
Polack competed in the rowing competitions before becoming a professional, then on a motorcycle racer retirement from football.
Rio Ferdinand
After winning six titles of Premierliga, Ferdinand decided to become a boxer.
Backed by Betfair, Ferdinand began training for the qualifications in British boxing, with Ferdinand discovering his passion for sport.
Anyway, in 2018, BBBC refused Ferdinand's license for war.
