Nearly 100,000 private sector workers have lost their jobs in the February-30s period of 2020, as a result of the situation created by the pandemic.
But in the Law for Economic Recovery, a three-month separation of 300 euros has been established, which amounts to 900 euros for the worker who lost his job in the private sector.
These payments have not been made yet, despite budget approval for 2021. Although the Law on Economic Regeneration has long been voted, these tools have not gone into accounts of some 400,000 workers who may be beneficiaries of these means.
The same are pending since December, but such a thing appears to be in place soon.
At least this was stressed by the Labour Ministry, which is completing application procedures for all beneficiaries.
Although the adoption of the 2021 Budget Law was said to be necessary in the implementation of this move, in a response to news reports.nets from the Ministry of Finance has been stressed that with the decision No. 06/58 of the date 14,01.2021, the Kosovo Government has approved measures for implementation of the 2021 Economic Regeneration Programme, worth two million and four hundred thousand euros (2,400,000). In this case, it was stressed that the Ministry of Labour and Social Management is responsible for implementation.
“In this decision are also earmarked for support for those who have lost jobs, as a result of pandemic (COVID-19) in the amount of $10,000 (tenm euros). As for implementing this measure, the Ministry of Labour and Social Management” is responsible, said further in the answer of the MF.
Meanwhile, news.net has been seeking a concrete response from the Ministry of Social Affairs and Affairs who have been reluctant to clarify the case.
But recently from the Office for Information of the Ministry of Respect have declared that incumbent Labour and Social Management Minister Skender Recica has formed the Inter-ministerial Group for setting criteria and preparing the operational plan for implementing Massa 16.
The subx0> Interministerial Worker Group within two days is obliged to draft the criteria document on who can benefit from the 16th Mass application, according to the Government's decision, on February 18th 2021”, was told further in response.
It was added, meanwhile, that these criteria will be included in the draft decision to be sent to the Government for approval.
“For installing this measure, the Government has also hired the State Information Agency to create an electronic platform, through which the application will be made to all who qualify as beneficiaries of this measure”, it was said.
While long ago by the Workers' Union in the Private Sector, they have claimed that there are thousands of private sector workers who lost their jobs in the face of pandemic caused by the COVID-19 virus.
“A beneficiary of 3300 euros, can be 35-40 thousand workers according to our statistics. Otherwise, we had about 100,000 workers who were in the system this year and over 60 thousand workers would have no right to benefit because company owners didn't pay their contributions and have no employment contracts. These guys lose this right”, Azemi announced.
Therefore until all procedures of relevant ministries are carried out, private sector workers who lost their jobs remain in expectation of the money they would have to receive already.
