The new feature will be called Super Falls, or Super Follower.
To access certain content, followers will have to pay a monthly fee.
“Super Fallsers will enable makers and publishers to rely directly on their audience and will stimulate them to continue creating content that loves their audience”, Twitter said through a statement.
Twitter has been under pressure from investors to find additional ways to earn money from the platform, which has several hundred million users worldwide.
Twitter's shares have been among the worst technology performers over the last seven years.
The new feature comes at a time when Internet sensors have appeared on new platforms, such as Patreon, Substack and OnlyFans, to benefit from their tracking.
