At an urgent press conference during the day, Mori said he felt very sorry “for the comments he made and called them inappropriate “”.
But, he added: “I intend to resign. I've worked hard and devoted a lot in the last seven years to the London Olympics. I'm not gonna back down. ”
Asked why he said women talk too much at work meetings, he replied: “I don't talk to women so much these days, so I don't know.”
