IAlbania's Prime Minister Sali Berisha has said he remembers February 17th of 2008 as the day of the greatest miracle in Albanian history, after November 28th of Skenderbe.
Of course, Albania's independence is the mother's mother's mother's mother of all the dates we enjoy. Albania's independence was very complex development, while Kosovo's independence represents the largest miracle of Albanians since the time of Skenderbeu”, Berisha has said.
I say this because every time we look at this process is extraordinary and unique. It has the foundation on blood, the life of hundreds of thousands of Albanians who from the years of the Prizren League through 1999 were sacrificed for Kosovo freedom. This miracle has the most unique passive resistance in Europe, the resistance in which Kosovo citizens joined in one, with the Albanian policy genius, President Rugova”.
“Passive resistance could not as such be concrete with independence, and it continued in KLA battles in which the long-time Albanian heroisation peaks were marked, Prekazi turned into the second Kruja”.
Berisha in the Analysis edition has avoided asking questions about declaring independence and former Prime Minister Hashim Thaci at the time.
Kosovo's “Independence was declared “de-phacto” by George W. Bush in Tirana and the period that remained between June 2007 and Cyprus 2008 was a feasibility period for declaring independence”.
“I can say that in 2005, with DP's coming to power, the basic theme of the Government of Albania has been that the independence of Kosovo, as the condition of all conditions to end Albanians' fluidity in the Balkans”.
