Tensions between Pashian and the military rose in open conflict Thursday when armed forces chief Onik Gasparyan and other senior commanders accused the prime minister of bringing Armenia “abused collapse”.
As a counter-responsive, Pasinian dismissed Gasparyan and urged his supporters to march to Republic Square in Yerevan, the site of the popular revolution that brought him to power three years ago.

Nagorno-Karabakh is internationally known as part of Azerbaijan, but is populated by ethnic Armenians.
