The experienced judge was terribly abused on the internet, following his decision to expel him with the West Ham's midfielder, Thomas Soucek at the weekend.
Dean, 52, is expected to share justice in the FA Cup match between Leicester and Brighton tomorrow evening, Periscopi broadcast.
But he has been left out of time for the weekend, after seeking rest so that threats and abuses against him and his family could be eased.
Chief PGMOL, Mike Riley said: ” threats and abuses of this nature are completely unacceptable and we completely support Mike's decision to report these messages his family has received.
No one should be the victim of such messages. Online abuses are unacceptable in every vital aspect and more needs to be done to attack this problem.” /Periscope. com/
