According to a statement by the Syrih canton police, the driver of the car had tried to escape from a police raid on Wermatswil.
After a long drive on the A15 highway, the car was evacuated from the highway to Wester and crashed into the stone shields of a circle with markedly excessive speed, broadcast albinfo.ch.ch. All of this happened about 3:30 in the morning.
