After this physical assault on Mr. Duriqi, reactions to social media were disturbing.
Most commentators supported the violence practiced against the journalist despite numerous denouncing reactions from prominent public figures.
Violence against journalists and media has not been so expressed in Kosovo before, but it seems to have changed.
On December 22nd of this year, journalist Valon Syla was attacked in the middle of the city by an indignant citizen with his free expression, Periscope follows.
A week ago, on December 15th, in a milder case, journalist Leoretta Abazi suffered an indecent behaviour by VV deputy Hekuran Murati.
On November 12th, the Kosovo Clan feasibility team was prevented from doing its job at the Shani Nushi sports gym in Gjakova.
Meanwhile, in a very serious case on October 18th, there had been shooting at journalist Shkumbin Kaitazi.
In most of these cases, the comments had been highly denigrate to the victims themselves, while thereby promoting violence to free speech. /Periscope
