It is learned that Marinel Senka, an 18-year-old boy of Albanian origin, but a longtime resident in Pontremol, where he worked, died as he climbed the mountain.
Last morning the young man, along with some friends, left Pontremol to climb Mount Marmagna.
Apparently the goal was to climb the Logarghena meadows, although some say they went through Bosco del Corniglio, in Emilia. But the heavy presence of snow and high slope have made the journey of young people even more difficult.
Albania's two friends announced rescue groups after losing contact with 18-year-old Senka, who was found lifeless after falling from the height of the throat.
Italian media report that Marinel Senka and his two friends have worked at a construction company that had been operating for some time in Ljubljana.
It is still impossible to say whether they were equipped to climb a mountaintop in winter.
