The Kosovo National Union with Albania is a discurs, which has been very recently frequented. Most recently mentioned by VV leader Albin Kurti, but recently he is being warned by the first of the AAK, Ramush Haradinaj, who is now running for president. Regarding these news statements, we have spoken from the EU.
The European Union is being reserved in its comments on recent statements coming from Eminent politicians in Kosovo for the Kosovo-Albania national union, unless European authorities and Serbia prove ready for a mutual recognition agreement.
In a response given to news.net, from the European Union say that “does not comment comments”, but adds that leaders should lead, by example, a climate that runs towards promoting a good neighbourhood in the region.
“Speaking in general, political leaders in the region should lead by example the promotion of a climate of mutual trust, promoting good neighbourly relations and regional co-operation, principles and values that the EU represents”, says the news.net Peter Stano, spokesperson for foreign and EU security issues.
He says the EU expects all factors in the region to be acts of constructive and co-operative relations, focusing on reforms to move forward on the path to European integration
The European Union expects all in the region to continue building constructive and co-operative relations and to focus and intensify work on their respective reform programmes to move forward on the path to European integration. This applies to Kosovo, which has a clear European perspective as part of the Western Balkan region and we expect the new institutions to work in this direction”, Stano says further.
As for the question of dialogue, Stano adds that the EU has been very clear in the joint statement issued by Borrell and Varhely.
He says the EU is looking forward to forming the new government for intensifying commitments for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.
“The EU was very clear in the joint statement issued Monday by Borrell and Commissioner Varhely, that we are eagerly awaiting the formation of the new government, and among other things we also expect the new authorities in Pristina to engage constructively with the continuation of EU facilitated dialogue meetings and the exploitation of the opportunity they have money to reach a comprehensive”, Stano says.
He eventually adds that the EU will work with all partners in the region bilaterally on their respective European path.
Otherwise, statements of national unity have mostly made media headlines recently.
The national union was even the lead word of the AAK leader Ramush Haradinaj's campaign, which in some form warned the referendum if for even several years Kosovo remains isolated and potentially has no agreement with Serbia.
On this topic, VV leader Albin Kurti, whose party won elections held Sunday, has recently spoken.
Our “priorities will be justice and employment, while I will not close the door in the future, nor the nation's historical intensities on either side nor the people as always the will within peaceful and democratic framework”, Kurti said.
