Unitedi's temporary coach, Ralph Rangnick, indicated that he had talked long enough with Martial last Wednesday at a meeting at which the 26-year-old told him that now is the right time for change.
Martyl held only two matches as United this season in Premierliga, marking a goal.
Despite the open desire to leave, Unitedi has not yet received an offer for the French assailant, Ranngnick indicated.
The Martial Manager, Philip Lamboley, confirmed earlier this month that 26-year-old wants to leave the club in January.
Meanwhile, Rangnick has said: “He was explained and he has been in Manchester United for seven years now and feels that now is the right time for change, to go elsewhere”.
Martial joined Unitede in 2015 from Monaco for about 40m euros.
He scored 79 goals in 268 presentations for the Red Demons, but since the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo, Edinson Cavani and Jadon Sanchos in Old Tuffford he has become insignificant. /
