Ericsen has returned to Milan from Denmark, but as expected, doctors did not give him the green light to continue the game at Serie A.
Danez is not allowed to train or play in Italy with an implanted cardiac device, since any contact or blow can break that device.
The Danish midfielder has been training with his former Odense Club over the past few weeks and has returned to Milan to undergo medical examinations, but did not hope to receive the green light from doctors.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Ericsen is expected today to terminate his contract with Inter and continue his career in his native country.
Ericsen had shaken the football world following the heart attack he had suffered during the EURO20 match this year between Denmark and Finland.
