Pristina: The Witness tells the judge that he does not know whether he is on trial for money laundering or about bonds of love

“I don't know if I'm on trial for money laundering or for love connections”, the M.H. witness said.

This witness was invited by special prosecutor Ilirjana Qolaku, after the accused Ceman himself is claiming that the amount of 115 thousand euros, which is allegedly derived from criminal activity, was the daughter of witness M.H., A.H., who has been in love with accused Ceman.

Witness M.H. has said that with the accused they had met only once and that after his daughter had asked him to announce it with him, reports “Justice Vogue”.

He has said that two businesses, in one of them, are partners and in business “Alba Trans”, which handles cargo transport from Turkey to Kosovo and vice versa is owner.

According to the witness, his wife had a textile shop, in which he said that his daughter, A,H., was also working, but according to the witness she was not paid and that he had only given her money for studies, food, clothing in the amounts of 10 to 100 euros.

On the other hand, the witness said that after to the accused Ceman had not said good words to him, he had told his daughter, who said he had decided to sever his relationship with him without pressure from him.

Asked by prosecutor Qollaku whether the witness was aware of whether his daughter, A.H., had bought a gift to the accused or wanted to buy a car, the witness said it was absurd, since, according to him, with the amount his daughter had made available for schooling he couldn't afford to buy a car.

I've given 5 euros 10 euros for expenses and it's absurd to buy my boyfriend's car”, the witness said.

He said his daughter, A.H., had told him when he was questioned by the police that he was with the accused Ceman when the same man had deposited money in the bank.

But, according to the witness, she had not told him if she was with him when she pulled that money.

Asked by the accused Ceman whether the witness is aware that his daughter has rented the local in Podujevo and that it has not been possible to open up without his knowledge.

In testimony to the M.H. witness, the accused Ceman himself has filed remarks, who has said the witness has denied having contacted him over the phone, while according to him, the prosecution possesses audio-inculating phone conversations between them.

The next session is expected to be held on January 27, 2022.

Unlike the September 15, 2021, the witness A.H. was heard, who was the ally of the accused Ceman, and when she faced the accused, she denied in all the accused's claim that the alleged money without origin was hers.

According to the indictment, filed on October 4, 2013, by the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo, Denis Ceman is charged that on February 28, 2011, even though he knew that the amount of money of 115 thousand euros flowed from criminal activity, with the aim of hiding it, has been deposited in his accounts in Pristina.

The accuser says that when the bank employee has asked him to fill out the form for the origin of the money, the same has refused by leaving the bank.

In accordance with the indictment, the bank employee invited her over the phone to sign the money deposit for what the defendant went to the bank, signed the paper, made the money withdrawal and left the bank.

With that, Ceman is accused of committing criminal work “The release of money” by Article 32, paragraph 2 related to subparagraph 2.6, punishable according to paragraph 2.8 of the Law on Prevention of Money and Terrorism Financing. /Betimy for Justice
