Mercedes has complained at FIFA about the parade Max Verstappen made in Abu Dhabi's final circle, defeating Lewis Hamilton.
The Briton was leading the race with about 11 seconds ahead of Belgian-holandes of Red Bull, but a clash of Nicholas Latifi took down a security vehicle to see the situation.
This allowed Verstappen to put new tires on and reach Hamilton, which was continuing on spent tires to the end, which was right and was accepted by Mercedes.
What the champions in power of the world would not admit, however, was that FIA directed some, but not all cars to paralyse the safety machine, paving the way for Verstappen to move immediately after Hamilton for the relaunch, crossing the British and winning the race and title.
This is what the Mercedes is opposing, with FIA saying they are protesting “against the competition's final standing”, referring to nines 48.8 and 48.12 of the FIA Sports Policy.
But the world's fastest race home has rejected Mercedes's complaint, suggesting that there were no violations and that Verstappen is the world's new champion in Formula 1.
